A PLANET BROOKLYN - Screenplay by Mike Koontz ( mikekoontzwriter-screenwriter.com )
The adventure in this story is about two worlds in the universe that collide in a place called Brooklyn. Sab is a curious and a charismatic alien on a regular, inter stellar space mission. He is fairly near Earth, New York City in fact. There is a problem with his ship and because needs must, he is forced to emergency land in Brooklyn; truly a strange landscape to him.
While he and his fellow aliens on his home planet figure out how to repair his craft, he finds that he is marooned in Brooklyn. So, being the curious and the friendly being that he is, he decides to explore, to collect data and to experience just what this place, PLANET BROOKLYN has to offer.
Sab is both shocked, amazed and he is fascinated by what he encounters on this impressive world. The Human capacity for love and hate, joy and sadness and on and on in a set of seemingly endless contrasts leaves him almost breathless. He resolves that this is a Planet well worth future investigation. It would be great to experience all over again these wonderful Human paradoxes.
We follow Sab’s journey of discovery, where he helps his new Human friends at critical and sometimes, at tense points in their lives. He knows helping species with the potential that these Humans have is the right if sometimes comic and awkward thing to do. There is a good chance they will be able to develop and to join the “Inter stellar, space travel, family of Planets,” as well.
PLANET BROOKLYN is a charming, a warm, a bitter-sweet, comedy drama with wit, laugh-out loud jokes, thrilling tension, people we want to get know better and an unexpected outcome that will both delight and surprise you… and leave you feeling complete.
